The project is very close(around 5km) to the new planned airport of Beijing. The concept is to create the “5th elevation” which gives the unique view for the airplanes passing above. The turbulence movement of the overall geometry generates the central space for the exhibition surrounded by office and restaurants, which allows varied public activities happening there. The skylight diffuses the light, giving a subtle and ambient environment for the exhibition, while the similar treatment of windows are enhancing the overall movement.
固安空港园区办公楼位于固安空港园区的端头，是北京中轴线延伸的收尾项目，离正在规划的北京二机场 约5公里。这成为设计的一个主要出发点：设计概念是去创造一个引人瞩目的第五立面。为机场起降的飞机展现独特的建筑景观，同时整个造型参考飞行器的设计风格，以一个涡流状的运动，来组织空间和功能。中央是带天光的展示大厅，周边是办公和餐饮设施。这样能够最大程度的吸引和容纳多样化的城市活动，活跃整个 筑空间。
