Collaborating with Tsingtao Design Institute, the facade design for Tsingtao library starts from rebuilding the envelope of the exterior surface to minimize the twisting area/double curvature around the entrance. A module system is developed to populate the surface which adapt to the angle of the light, allows the well-controlled light into the space.
青岛大学城公共图书馆项目中，与青岛公用建筑设计院合作，通过参数化手段，对表皮和立面进行了研究。整个外形的几何关系被重新建立，减少双曲面和扭面的范围，减少工程造价。整个表皮通过一个随曲率变化的模块系统而组织起来，模块的角度和穿孔率的因素与内部空间的进光量联系在一起，形成一个随光线控制变化的“活化”的立面系统。
